Upon arrival in Australia grandmother Rohde first went to Melobourne to stay with friends, the Borovanskys (founders of Borovansky Ballet Company in Melbourne). Subsequently returned to the family in Hilton. In the late 1960s she moved to Mt Henry Nursing Home and lived there until her death.
