Our HMAS ship - LAST VOYAGE - troop carrier WWII left Port Ipswich, UK for Fremantle, WA. Two sons, Tony & Martin lived in Albany, WA for 5 years then built house near Briggs Seholme, Vic. Families met on ship. Godparents to Barbara Ann christened in ship's bell by Jim Briggs (great uncle), Archbishop Gipsland, Vic. (Perce-Carpenter) (Francis - live-in Nanny, London, UK). Jim, Phyl, Perce, Francis travelled for 6 years in caravans around Australia from 1967. Stayed great friends.
