John Roache & his sister Ellen travelled together to Australia. After 10 years in WA John moved to NZ. He met Dorothy Brown in Wellington. They married in 1939. Later settled in Foxton. They established their business & raised 6 children. In 2005 he celebrated his 100th birthday in Foxton.
