Came to Australia to join his brothers Francis and Edgar who had arrived in 1912 and 1913 respectively. Took up farming property at Kondinin. His wife Edith and children Ella M (9) and Gordon Owen (4) migrated from England in 1924. A third child, Roy Desmond, was born in 1927.
