Dad and mum originally settled at Cowaranup Group No. 62, where they first lived in a tin hut 12' x12' with hessian at the open windows. This was replaced with a house. Later they moved to the Swan Valley, where dad became a Vigneron. They had three children, Fred, Edie and Phyll.
