The family gladly disembarked at Fremantle, rather than Sydney, following a job offer on board the Sibajak to Jan by Rainbow Neon. Two other daughters were born in Perth, Patricia 1951 and Angelina 1952. Jan and Nel have six grandchildren, Lisa, Jason, Clara, Nicole, Sofia and Joshua.
