After settling in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Silvestro married Ethel Cleghorn in 1928. They moved to Southern Cross and had three children. He is survived by his wife Ethel, who recently turned 100, and 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild!
