Caterina is one of 11 children born to Teresa Nesci & Francesco Maiolo. She had her 25th birthday on the ship just before arriving in Fremantle. In 1963 Caterina married Giuseppe Rechichi & moved to the farm in Wannamal. They brought up 4 children - Angela, Teresa, Rocco and Vittorio.
