My father came to Australia first, in search of a better life. He later sent for my mother, Yoka Franich, and they were married here in Spearwood in 1935. They became Australian citizens, established a market garden in Spearwood and raised three sons and left behind nine grandchildren. They lived a happy life in Australia.
