William Dobson Pusey arrived on the RUNNYMEDE in 1840? from Van Diemen's Land. Private in 51st Regiment. Appointed Police Constable at York 1841 & transferred to Toodyay 1845-48. Wife was postmistress. Bought Perth lot 1851. Worked as gardener 1860, as dairyman at South Perth in the 1870's and as a woodcutter and poundkeeper in 1880's. Married Sarah Elliston and they had 12 children.
