Thomas Purdy having retired from the British Army arrived at Fremantle from England aboard SS Ballarat on 20/01/1923 with wife Annie and sons, Francis and Donald. Their elder son Edgar was sent to America. Thomas later became an Anglican Minister and after Annie's death married Gladys.
