Both British subjects, of Maltese and Italian extraction. Jeanne and Edgar fled Alexandria, their hometown, upon Nasser's Military takeover in 1951. With 9 year old Gerry and 2nd son Leslie on the way (born in May), they were starting life anew in WA, paving the way for Jeanne's parents, Anthony and Elena Gatt. brother Edwin and sister Yvonne to follow in 1956.
