At age 16 worked at R & I Bank in Carnarvon. In 1969 married Robert Garbin. 1970 son Malcolm arrived and in 1974 daughter Deanne arrived. Worked market garden for 50 years on Rockingham Road. Became proud grandparents to Dane in 2001.
