Sidney was allocated to Frederick Parker of Waroona to work as a farmhand labourer on his Scarp Road farm, which is now Waroona Dam. Sidney's accommodation was an open leaking shed with a bed of hay & hessian bags for blankets. Eventually a single room shed was built for him.
