On his arrival William (Bill) obtained employment in the Timber industry as a yardman with Millers at their Claymore Mill. He there met and later married Cora Donnelly - grand daughter of Captain Charles Henry Watson, in 1926. Their marriage produced four children Colin, Ronald, Robert and Loyla.
