Fred and Rosemary were Londoners. Fred served in the British Army during WW2. Captured in France in 1940, he spent the war as a POW. Rosemary served in the WAAF, surviving the London blitz. Married in 1945, they have two children - Lorraine and Peter. They became Australian citizens in 1992.
