Read their story

Fred, Dorothy and their 4 year old daughter Stephanie started their lives in WA running the McNess Guesthouse at Yanchep National Park. Stephanie attended Wanneroo Primary, a one room school. Redback spiders, snakes, toilets emptied by the night carts, ringworm and heatwaves were just some of the experiences of the family. After England, it was a very primitive life in WA back in 1951.
