Albert Pope from Devon, and Kate Holman Gardner from Sussex met and married in London. Daughter Violet was born in 1905. East Fremantle was their first home, Albert worked as a butcher in High Street. From 1928 to 1942 they lived in Bruce Rock where Albert was the butcher. Later lived Mt Lawley.
