The steamship 'Diogenes' docked at Albany April 1924. Albert and wife Kathleen (Kath) and their family of nine went to Denamark on the 114 Group Settlement Scheme. They lived in tents, cleared virgin land and milked cows. Later in life Albert went to work for the Land Settlement Scheme at Rock Gully working under his son, George.
