14/11/1939 imprisoned by Russian troops in Bohorodczany. 20/03/1940 her deportation to Leninzol took two weeks by rail. In 1942, on her release with the signing of the Amnesty, she sojourned in displaced persons camps in Persia and eastern Africa, arriving in WA to work on a farm owned by Garth Burgess. 22/5/1959 she was “Naturalised” concluding a 20 year epic journey. Bronislawa called the beautiful State of WA “home” for 48 years, never missing an opportunity to express her thanks and good fortune for the privilege of being accepted here.
