Arrived Fremantle 1911. Enlisted in army in WWII. Had an accident in Blackboy Camp and lost his right hand. After rehabilitation returned to Shackleton and settled. Bought the PO and General store. Married Margaret Thompson in 1920. They had five children: Peter, James, Shirley, Margaret Judy, Anne Wendy.
