William & Frances Pickles arrived with sons, Albert, John & Fred; William's parents, John & Elizabeth, sister Annie & her husband Alpha Watson. They emigrated to fulfil France's lifelong vow that her children would never work in a factory. Their descendants still farm "Craven Lea", the land on which they settled.

  • Hello I'm the great great great granddaughter of Elizabeth and John Pickles and the photographs below show that thier daughter Lizzie also came out on the Oroya with them although she is not listed on your website. I hope this helps.
