David came to Perth in 1966 as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Chemistry at UWA. He was appointed Lecturer in Chemistry at the WA Institute of Technology in 1968. David achieved international recognition in Applied Industrial Chemistry at Curtin University and reached the position of Associate Professor.
