Arrived to join father. Worked on market gardens (Spearwood) 18 months. Apprenticed as carpenter (1941). Commenced military training (June 1942) and saw active service (Tarakan, 1945). Post-war, recommenced apprenticeship. Became registered builder. Married Regina Vasich 1944. Three children, Mary, John and Cheryl.
