Edward John Peters (Jack) arrived from England in December 1951. He purchased 725 acres of uncleared land 14 miles NW of Mount Barker. His wife Pat and infant son William joined him in Australia 7 months later. They cleared the land, created the farm "Petersfield" and raised 3 more children - Sally, Robert and Tracy.
