Read their story

The family were supposed to go on to Melbourne but were stopped in Fremantle by Rosa's brother, Piero Zamboni, who promised work for Umberto. Therefore the family were allowed to stay. Unfortunately their entire luggage carried on to Melbourne and it took several months before they got anything back, relying on family to lend them clothing in the meantime.
