Alan was a National Serviceman between 1954-56 and was at the Monte Bello nuclear tests. He died of secondary carcinoma of the kidney aged 38 leaving a son aged 15 months named Jason Evrett, born in Australia and two daughters born in the UK who were accompanying travellers.
