From Northbourne in Kent with six children. Arrived at Clarence (temporary town). Given allotments in Guildford. Moved to York in 1836 (Northbourne). Took up extensive pastoral land east of York during the pastoral era of the 1850's to 90's. Involved with State's legal history, farming (wool), endowed a town (Dangin) & introduced share farming.
