WA's major draw-card was its climate. We'd just endured eight months of limited daylight, both leaving and arriving home in the dark enveloping a day's work. Leaving England in May and arriving here in June - we'd missed the summer of 1969. BHP sponsored - we're ten pound Poms - not disappointed.
