Ivo came to WA to reunite with his father, Maté, who had come here to earn money for his family after WWI. After a tragic fishing accident where Maté was lost at sea, Ivo became a professional crayfisherman in Safety Bay. Ivo has three children, Maté, Leonie and Anita.

  • Neither: Mate senior (n.1898-m.1961) and Mate junior (n.1963-) have French styled "accents" on the "e" at the end of there christian names.
