On his arrival went to Southern Cross & was fencing & mallee root picking for local farmers. (12mths). Started share farming, met & married local girl Irene Charmaine Stanton 18/6/1966. 1969 received conditional purchase block 4,000 acres of virgin land in South Yilgarn. Built our own home & have 3 children, Arthur, Julie-Ann & Paul who are all married, have 6 grandchildren. Later purchased other blocks, total of 18,000 acres & continue to farm in South Yilgarn.

Paul and Charmaine worked tirelessly for the district, and were prominanlty involved in the Agricultural Society, and Charmaine served as a Shire Councillor
