Salvatore arrived in Fremantle in 1911 at the age of 18 yrs. It was a time of great hardship & his initial years where spent labouring. He married Mary Vergena in 1917 & took over his father-laws business "the Fremantle Fish Supply" which he expanded to satisfy the needs of the growing migrant population in Fremantle. He passed his business on to his family, which is now known today as Sealanes.
