My Grandfather was accompanied by his second wife Eleaner Jane and her 4 sons. He had 4 sons and 1 daughter (my Mother) and infant Son Ronald who was a baby of about 8 months when they arrived at Fremantle in 1909. His 4 older sons were in their teens at the time of coming to Australia. All 8 of these young men saw active service in the 1914-1918 War. One died soon after returning to Australia as a result of being badly gassed.
