Alfred was a Stone Mason, Railway ganger, Gas Lamp Lighter & Council Worker. Married Amelia Elizabeth Webb, 6/3/1887, Presbyterian Church, Perth. In 1906, he built the stone cottage at 23 Falcon St in Narrogin, where he & Amelia raised 9 children. He was caretaker/gardener for the Memorial Park from 1930-38 and helped construct the War Memorial where the name of his eldest son Alfred William is listed. He died and is buried in Gnowangerup.
