Ex-Indian Army Officer ‘Badge' Overton and family settled in the goldfields. Winning charities in 1958 enabled them to settle in Claremont. The daughters followed different career paths. Jacqueline continued tradition by joining the army and represented WA in women's cricket. Veronica became a television personality in the ‘60's.
