David migrated to Australia with his parents, Simon and Johanna & his sisters, Hanneke, Bloeme & Willy. After arriving at Fremantle, they drove to Albany to start their new life. On 3rd March 1962, David married Trijntje (Tilly) de Jong. They have three children, Brian, Yvonne & Dianne.
