Group Settlement Scheme #38 McLeod Creek Karridale. Lost eldest son 23yrs in Perenjori WA (1924). Another son, George, killed using dynamite on farm, 1926 ( 17yrs). Mary-Ann (mother) died on farm 1928 (47 years) from septicaemia, leaving 11 children to cope. George Oversby's other job was transporting new settlers to farms by horse and cart. Many descendants still remain in South West of WA.

Correct DOB for George William is (I believe) 1878 not 1877. His birth was registered in the second quarter of 1878 and he is shown as 2 and 12 at the censuses of 1881 and 1891.
