Before arrival at Fremantle, Walter had worked for Customs and the British Army in India. On arrival he worked at Yornup Timber Mill, then Eldersmith at Carnarvon. He brought his wife Violet and children Pat, Jenny, Wendy, Lyn & Pam from the UK in 1951. Warrant Officer RAF Pearce 1952-62. Deceased 21/11/79.
