Mate worked on the woodline at Kurrawang WA, and the Wiluna, Meekatharra & also Kalgoorlie mines. Married Mila Glamuzina 28/02/1942. Moved to Big Bell working in the mines and after being injured moved to Balcatta (Perth) 1949, working the market garden with his wife Mila until retirementin 1967. He and his family moved to 73 Hanworth Street, Balcatta in 1971. Passed away 26/06/1974 leaving wife Mila and daughters Elsie , Lilly, Valma and families.
