Dublin born Richard O' Gorman (Paddy) served voluntarily in the British Army during WW2, in North Africa and France. Whilst stationed in England he met Winifred Smith whom he married in 1944. In 1955 with their two children Maureen and Terry, they migrated to Australia settling in Albany where their third child Patricia was born.
