Before coming to WA William was 27 years in the British Army and retired as Regimental Sergeant Major. The family came to WA as part of Soldier Settler Scheme Group 123 at Northcliffe in 1925. Finally living in Newcastle Street, North Perth. William was a Commissionaire at Anzac House until retirement.
