Migrated to become a farmer in Carnamah, WA. Depression forced owner to walk off the land. John joined NML, then served in RAAF Albury. After 2nd WW joined Shell Company at Perth Airport. Married Enid E Lightfoot in 1936 and had two children Lewis and Janet, living in Mt Lawley.
