At the age of 14 Domenica Nicotra (nee Tomarchio) moved to Motta Camastra, Province of Messina, Sicily and later married Antonino Nicotra. They had only one child, named Grazia Maria Catena Nicotra. In 1956 left from Francavilla, Sicilia to join husband in Perth, WA.
