Reg Ness applied for and was granted a block of land in Newdegate. The bank foreclosed during the Depression and he resumed his trade of carpentry, building many dwellings in the area. He married Hilda Sargeant, had 2 children, Elsie May and John Robert. Retired and died in Busselton 1977.
