Nicola and his family arrived in Perth after 21 days aboard the Neptunia. They were reunited with his father Carmelo who had migrated to Perth four years prior. Nicola married Anna-Maria in 1970 and had three children - Rosalba, Charlie and Anthony, and has one granddaughter Yellena.
