My Mother, an officer in PM RAFNS was granted permission to leave to marry my father in Australia after a visit by the Prince Royal to the base. After landing in Fremantle she disembarked in Melbourne and for 30 years she worked as a Matron in SA country hospitals, the first supporting mother to do so. She spent her last 21 years in Subiaco.
