On arrival, Alec, Honora (Rose) & children lived at Point Walter Migration Camp before Alec found work as a mechanic in Waroona. Lifestyle and climate were a contrast with water tank and outside toilet but the family eventually settled happily into the Australian lifestyle. Rose earned Red Cross life membership.
