David married Maria Samsa from Male Mune, Croatia.
They met in Bridgetown and married in 1962. They have two children.
Son Anthony. Born in 1966, and a daughter Lisa. Born in 1968.
David and Maria left Bridgetown in 1974 to provide more opportunities for the young family and moved into a new home in Spearwood, where they still live today.
David and Maria have been fortunate enough to be able to return to their towns and country of birth on close to a dozen occasions to visit and spend time with family and friends.
David came from a large family which consisted of nine brothers and four sisters.
Having spent the majority of his adult life in and around Fremantle, David is always been able to have close contact with other families and friends who to also migrated from Malonno - Val Camonica.
David has also passed on many of the traditions that the Migrants, who came to Fremantle brought with them.
These traditions included, making sausages, making sauce, and the odd bottle of grappa.
More often than not this involved family gatherings with wonderful memories and traditions passed on down through the generations.
