Read their story

William was a farmhand at Firle Place, Sussex (Gage Estate). He worked with his father, George at Comps Farm, Glynde. Emigrated to W. Australia to make his own way. Left London on TSS Largs Bay on 22/3/1923. After working on a farm at Beverley he joined the Group Settlement Scheme, allotted a farm at Pemberton, where he farmed successfully until his death (aged 86).
