Annie's father, William Richmond, travelled out from England with his two eldest sons on the vessel 'Barbarossa', arriving in Fremantle on the 1st February 1911. Annie, together with her mother Thirza and the six younger children left from Liverpool on the steam ship ‘Pakeha' on 13 April 1911, arriving in Fremantle on the 18 May 1911.
